The FUSION hybrid ROV is the ideal tool for Underwater Surveillance as its unique functionality offers underwater eyes on the enemy, allowing for improved Underwater Domain Awareness (UDA).
SEARCHING WITH SONAR
Equipped with a sophisticated array of sensors already tightly integrated into the SRS FUSION ROV including a Blueprint Oculus imaging sonar and side scan sonar, the sonar makes it exceptionally easy to search large areas of water for targets in a timely manner. The vehicle is also small and lightweight making it easier to remain covert during underwater surveillance missions.
EYES ON ENEMY ACTIVITY
Identifying the location of adversaries is critical and visual observations, and the tracking of enemy targets from above the water can be accomplished by several means. The SRS FUSION ROV gives you eyes on the enemy underneath the surface of the water through sonars and HD video. This is invaluable to police, military, border patrol, customs, and Coast Guard teams worldwide in the preservation of freedom and personnel safety.
VISIBILITY IN POOR VISIBILITY
The FUSION is equipped with an HD camera for close inspection when excellent visibility is available, but anybody who works in water will know that these conditions are rare. To combat this, the integrated Blueprint Oculus scanning sonar offers video-like imagery, giving water visibility up to a range of 200m, and a wide 130° horizontal and 20° vertical aperture.
PROVIDING VISION BENEATH THE SURFACE
The primary focus of Underwater Surveillance missions is to get a better understanding of the operational environment, and what the enemy and suspicious vessels are doing in the area. The SRS FUSION hybrid ROV is the ideal tool for these operations because of the tightly integrated high-resolution sensor suite. Post mission reporting from the user HMI is seamless allowing for timely interdiction operations. FUSION is designed for target acquisition, and more importantly, re-acquisition of the target for various intervention activities.
CRITICAL NATIONAL INFASTRUCTURE
The defense of critical national infrastructure is important to everyone in maintaining our lives and freedoms as we know them. By utilizing the SRS FUSION in AUV mode (untethered mode), the vehicle can complete hazardous surveillance without any risk to life of the surveillance team. The vehicle can navigate to a target, complete a task and return to base without any need for human intervention after the mission planning has been completed.
MARITIME DOMAIN AWARENESS (MDA)
The FUSION ROV enables excellent underwater insight which is critical to effective maritime domain awareness (MDA). The side scan sonar from an altitude of 10 meters survey’s a swath 100 meters wide on either side of the vehicle, the system comes complete with SRSs proprietary Nadir gap filling software. The scanning sonar is available in different frequencies to provide ranges from 0.1 m to 200m depending on operational requirements.
